Account and Authentication Data
When you sign in via a supported identity provider (such as Google or other OAuth services), we receive your email address, display name, and profile picture as provided by that service through Auth0.
Profile and Trait Data
When you complete your profile we collect the trait selections you provide — such as age range, interests, lifestyle preferences, and values — to personalize AI-generated match results and to enforce access controls including age requirements.
Generated Match Data
When you save a match to your account, we store the associated traits, biography text, and image URL linked to your user record to support the Dashboard and public sharing features.
Usage and Technical Data
We collect standard server log data including IP addresses, browser type, referring URLs, and request timestamps. This data is used for security monitoring, abuse prevention, and service reliability.
Local Storage Data (Guest Mode)
If you use the service without signing in, your profile draft is stored only in your browser's local storage. This data does not leave your device unless you sign in and explicitly save content to your account.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Generating and returning personalized AI match results
- Saving and displaying your match history in the Dashboard
- Authenticating your identity and managing your session
- Enforcing access controls, including age verification requirements
- Operating, maintaining, and improving the service
- Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access
- Responding to support requests and communications
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Contractual necessity — to provide the service you requested, including generating matches and maintaining your account
- Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the service in ways that do not override your rights

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data only in these circumstances:
- Auth0 — to manage authentication, session tokens, and identity verification
- Backend service providers — to process generation requests and persist account and match data

- Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the same privacy commitments in this policy
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data, profile information, and saved matches for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law or legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.
